Cinemas around Leicester

Showcase Cinema de Lux Leicester

7 Highcross Lane, Leicester LE1 4SD, UK – 0871 220 1000

What I like best about Showcase is the online ticket purchase service which is fast and reliable allowing me to get tickets in minutes. I use this service often because it spares me of waiting in line at the till. And I can even see my rewards amount from my Insider4 card and use it to get a discount if I want. I totally recommend getting an Insider card because you get 10% reward on every purchase which can add up to a considerable amount for those who watch many movies as I do. Rewards can be used to pay for tickets and/or snack combos. The XPLUS screen does it all. It is the best screen to watch every blockbuster and even more. Great seats. Great service. Great staff. Great snacks. The only cinema I ever go to.

Went to watch the avengers infinity war in the directors lounge. Everything was in great working order. Seats are very comfortable, screen size and audio complemented the film really well. Staff were very friendly, would go again

Odeon Cinema Leicester Freemans Park

Freemens Park, 90 Aylestone Rd, Leicester LE2 7LB, UK – 0333 014 4501

This place has some good cinemas. However, I do not recommend this place for night films. I went with my boyfriend and have a very bad time with some guys which talk, run and scream during all the film. The personal from the cinema did not do anything. We tried to watch the movie, however they were making a lot of noise and at the end of the projection told us we hoped you have enjoy the movie.

Cinemas are quite small and staff are incredibly slow, so arrive in plenty of time. Lots of foreign films being shown continuously, but non-blockbusters and children's movies are only shown briefly so you can miss out easily. Staff are very nice though and having space in the cinema makes a nice change as it is mostly empty during the week.

Piccadilly Cinema

Green Ln Rd, Evington, Leicester LE5 3TH, UK – 0116 251 8880

Me and my family have been visiting the cinema for years and we feel it has always been a great experience and the staff are very helpful. We feel that we have had a very positive, family atmosphere every time we have gone to the cinema. Never had an issue and is completely value for money

I've coming to Piccadilly cinema for years the staff and prices are excellent and it's a great place to take the family to watch films as its clean. I was at the cinema last night to watch jumanji with my son and daughter so the lady who wrote that there was a mouse in the screen is talking nonsense as we didn't see anything of the sort. Cheap and cheerful what more could you ask for?

Theatres for Leicester

The Little Theatre

Dover St, Leicester LE1 6PW, UK – 0116 255 1302

Very nice little theatre run mostly by volunteers. As it is so old the seating is not really suitable for men as it does not supply adequate leg room for a two to four hour sit down. Lovely shows though.

Lovely theatre. Very enthusiastic staff. Delightful performance by youth theatre.

Sue Townsend Theatre

16 Upper Brown St, Leicester LE1 5TE, UK – 0116 224 4080

Went to an evening performance, free parking outside and venue was good too. Great view

Curve Theatre

60 Rutland St, Leicester LE1 1SB, UK – 0116 242 3560

The Curve is a modern theatre with good leg space in front of seats. Went to see Matilda which is superb. The children are extremely talented and the whole cast give 100% in their performance. Some clever special effects too.

i love the curve leicester. i am disabled wheelchair access is so easy. the staff are so helpful even offered to get me a drink or if i needed any help just to wave and they would help. i would give more stars if i could
